Best quote about Bear attack - in the Missoulian newspaper: McDonald then began removing the wrist straps from his hiking poles so he could reach the bear spray at his waist. Then the bear attacked, and started working on McDonald's leg.
Just to keep track...
September 9 - hunter was attacked by a grizzly north of Gardiner
September 14 - man was mauled by a bear this morning while elk hunting north of Yellowstone National Park in the Beattie Gulch area.
October 6 - A man was mauled by a grizzly sow with three cubs while bow hunting for elk in the Beattie Gulch area, north of the boundary of Yellowstone National Park.
October 31 - hunter who apparently startled a bear near Corwin Springs...The bear knocked one of the man's eyeballs from its socket and severely damaged his nose and face.
November 2 - An employee at the Great Bear Adventure drive-through bear park in Coram was mauled in the groin by a grizzly bear.
If the bears keep up their current attack schedule, they are due for an attack any day, and they are becoming more specific in their attack targets...the groin? REALLY? is that entirely necessary? - not a good time to go outdoors. I have decided to not attend class until the bears have officially gone into hibernation.

Okay, maybe its not the bears, maybe I just dont want to get out of my pjs...maybe I am half bear and am going into hibernation?

It seems like a pretty prominent theme in all of this is hunting...Maybe the moral of the story is that it's not a good idea to be a hunter. Maybe I'm just telling you how I feel. :)
Human Hibernation, now that sounds LOVELY!! You let me know how that goes for you!!
