When: 830pm Saturday night
Where: The Break Espresso (aka. home)
What: Kate Lost her mind
Why: Spent Saturday night in the Break Espresso tweaking resume and cover letters to the ever more irritatingly intricate needs of the following excellent application prospects:
Primary Children's Hospital (done yesterday thank goodness)
University of Utah Hospital (done yesterday thank goodness)
University of New Mexico Children's Hospital (Albuquerque)
OSHU Hospital (Portland)
Stanford Children's Hospital (Palo Alto)
It is such an uphill battle because they all kindof need to be done at the same time so that if (okay, not if, WHEN)...WHEN there are interviews and job offers they are timed so I dont have to tell anybody to wait a month for a decision....ahghgahahg...and now that I have officially applied at Primary Children's and University of Utah, the clock has officially started TICKING. TICK. Fucking TOCK!! ahghghghghgghgh.
Its honestly very exciting but the anxiety is getting the best of me from time to time, mostly right now on Saturday night at a coffee shop. Thank goodness for blogging or my eyeballs may pop out from the pressure in my brain right now. Its not even that I feel anxiety about the actual "where and how and why" of the job search right now, it is pure logistics of getting the damn applications in the mail!!!! Rae, I now know your hell experienced over the internship search. Its nice to know there is an end in sight, if you made it thru than so can I right?
Im going home and eating popcorn. Maybe some wine too. tick tock tick tock......

Kate, the people of this blog would like to hear about your fellow student who will co-hosting this big healthcare forum come April.
Hi Kate! Good job on the applications. I'm right there with you (I am hell experienced).
Applying for jobs sucks! Tons of work and you're just out there on an island. Rejection, rejection, rejection, and then finally you get an interview. It's worth it, of course, but that's a bad work-to-rejection ratio.
I'll be glad when we're all gainfully employed!
Good Luck!
