Excellent hotel - I would give it five stars. Great comfy beds, good view of the city, central location just off the freeway, and a indoor/outdoor pool and hottub.

A near attack by a pit bull prompted a immediate change in direction for our decision making about where to live. Its neat how the universe pushes you in the right direction, sometimes subtly sometimes not (pit bulls are not subtle).

A post-pit bull near attack chocolate milkshake and coconut cream pie re-charged our souls to get back out there and find a safe place to live...and we were immediately successful!!! YAY!

And here it is! Deep in Obama territory...okay, maybe just our neighboor but with our yard sign it is officially Obama land. Yeah Obama.

This guy has giant billboards all over the city for his attorney services...is this not Ron Burgandy??? It would crack me up every time I saw it! I wonder if he is serious or if he is spoofing Ron Burgandy. Either way. Hilarious.

Our trip was a success. We found a place to live and explored our new city including checking out just a few of the MANY great restaurants. Oh I cant wait to fully explore the many culinary options! Best perk of ABQ - chips and salsa are a staple food and restaurants compete for the best salsa!
Delicious Restaurants in Albuquerque:
Church Street Cafe
This restaurant is in "Old Town" and is in a peublo that is over 200 years old. Its very pretty with dining inside and in the adobe walled courtyard with waterfall
El Pinto Similar in decor to the Church St. Cafe but way bigger and newer
Il Vicino Delicious brick oven pizza right on Central Ave in Nob Hill.
Flying Star Cafe The new standard place to grab a quick bite. Delicious salads, coffee, breakfast, or desert. New food favorite, they put fried feta cheese cubes on their greek salad. Whoa delicious!

What a brilliantly fantastic post future house-mate sister! I cannot believe how much the attorney man looks like Ron Burgandy - I have to see Achorman again - it has been ages!
You have captured the trip succienctly - the chips and salsa (provided for free and in quantity) of New Mexico is akin to the cheese and wine of France. Whoop whoop!!
I have a doctoral degree chip on my shoulder and thought you were using a big word (succienctly)...turns out you just spelled succinctly wrong. Tee heee hee.
Oh, Man, this you two living together thing is going to be interesting!! :)
Thanks so much for the trip post, though. I think the pictures really put it over the top - I'm even MORE excited to visit you in ABQ now!! Hooray!!
Congratulations, friend Kate!!
Sounds exciting. Sure you can live with someone after all these years?
