Does the baby look like he is disappointed I am not at work tonight?
Yup. After all of my pacing, planning, and blogging I listened to my voicemail at about 11am today and received a concerned message from my nurse supervisor asking, "Where are you?"
What????? I thought I worked tonight at 7 PM!!!!
Nope. I was supposed to be there this morning at 7 AM!!!!
Crap.
So, a bit of a false start. Miscommunication...why would I orient on days if I was hired onto nights? Obviously some assumptions were made and not good communication.
So...now Im REALLY excited for my first day of work...tomorrow morning!

So, does this mean that you worked days? Are you going to work days always? I'm just not sure when I can call you. I would hate to mess with your new sleep schedule!!
I'm off today (Tuesday) so call me or let me know when the best time to call you is.

Definetly sounds stressful. Please update me on how you are liking your new job. My clinicals start bright and early at 6am and I'm only doing 8 hr days, so I wonder how doing 12hrs is going to be.
