So last night Rae and I went to the movies to see The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Here is the conversation I had with the man at the ticket booth, we shall call him Carlos.
Kate: Two for Prince Caspian please.
Carlos: Thatllbefourdollars
Kate: What?
Carlos: Yousaidtworight?
Kate: Yeah, two for prince caspian please.
Carlos: Right, thatllbefourdollars.
Kate: , Im sorry, did you say (slowly and louder) four dollars?
Carlos: (mockingly slower and louder) Yes, four dollars.
Kate: (handing him a ten dollar bill and waiting for him to say it was insufficient money I am handing him) Okay, four dollars.
And sure enough he gives me six dollars back in change. Weird! I quite seriously thought it was more likely he was saying that will be FORTY dollars than FOUR dollars. But indeed, it was just TWO DOLLARS each!!! I have NEVER heard of such a cheap theatre in MY ENTIRE LIFE. Rae was quite blasee about the whole thing and claims there is a theatre in Syracuse that was just $1.50 each to see a movie. A whole movie!
Crazy!
I have been getting ripped off for YEARS!!! I think I shall go see a movie every night and catch up on the ones I didnt see because it was not worth the 10 bucks...two dollars, I would see Reno 911 on the big screen....oh wait, I did see that on the big screen, for TWELVE F***KING DOLLARS!!!!!
oh, and Prince Caspian was quite good although it is two and half hours long.

Wish gas were only two dollars! We have to continue the annual girls ski trip this year.
Hell yes! Perhaps a Utah trip this year? How does January look for your school schedule?
